CREMS MISSION: "EMS in EVERY HOME"
Copper River EMS Council, Inc. (CREMS) is a private nonprofit EMS agency that has served the Copper River Basin since the early 1980's. CREMS provides the entire region with 24/7/365 Advanced Life Support 911 Ambulance service. We utilize a hybrid/semi-pro model with one paid lead medic stationed in Glennallen who is on duty 24/7. We also rely on our dedicated volunteer responders who sign-up for 12-hour on-call ambulance shifts or simply respond to calls when they are available. We maintain 3 fully-stocked, response ready ambulances with 2 stationed in Glennallen and one in Kenny Lake.

Serving The CommunityFor more than 40 years, volunteers from all over the Copper River Basin have dedicated themselves and their time to their fellow community members in their time of need. This inspiring video made by Ray Voley (AKWild1 LLC), a past First Responder, showcases some of the amazing individuals who have selflessly trained, responded, and served their communities as EMS First Responders.

Our Team of Dedicated Volunteers Continues to Grow!
|
Copper River EMS is powered by volunteers from across the Copper Valley. Today our service includes over thirty active volunteers who respond to emergencies and cover on-call shifts throughout the region. Here are just a few of the volunteers who make that possible.
Harry Scudder first got his start with CREMS through one of our high school ETT classes and has since renewed his ETT and obtained his EMT-1 this Fall/Winter. A Copper Valley resident of nearly nine years, Harry works at Glenn Transport and spends his free time working on vehicles, snowmachining, and enjoying the outdoors. Skyler Griffin, a recent Glennallen High School graduate, has called the area home for five years and completed his ETT and EMT-1 this Fall/Winter. Working as a Maintenance Technician at Copper River Native Association, he's pursuing a Health Sciences degree with a passion for neuroscience and joined CREMS to gain hands-on medical experience on the path toward medical school. Heidi Baker came to CREMS after a joint call with Glen Rich Fire last year, completing her ETT and EMT-1 this Fall/Winter. Her husband Jason recently joined as a driver when one was needed mid-class! Missionaries who moved to the area in 2020, Heidi works at Glennallen Chiropractic Center, Jason works for the state, and both work for Cross Roads Medical Center. Heidi and Jason are active members of Glenn Rich Fire and Rescue, the Gakona Volunteer Fire Department, and the VFW Auxiliary. In their spare time, they enjoy kayaking, fishing, and being outside together as a family. Tersa Noble attended the Spring 2025 EMT-1 class and has been a Nelchina/Mendeltna community fixture since moving from Chickaloon in 2010. A mother of three, 4-H leader, and GRVFD volunteer, she's also been active with the Nelchina Mendeltna Community Council for 15 years. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, camping, traveling, and family time with her husband Caleb and their four-legged friends. Alieu Fatty moved to Glennallen in 2024 with his wife and completed his ETT and EMT-1 this Fall/Winter. He works in a medical laboratory and joined CREMS out of a desire to give back to his community. Outside of work, he's an avid soccer fan who enjoys jogging and the gym. |
