Zack Nason:  Full-Time 7/1/2024 - 6/15/2025

Picture
Copper River EMS is happy to introduce Zack Nason, one of our two full-time Advanced Life Support Lead Medics. Zack will be stationed in Glennallen on duty 24/7 for 7-day rotations alternating workweek with Seth.

Zack is currently an EMT-3 and is in the home stretch of finishing Paramedic school. Zack will spend his off weeks for the next few months in the Anchorage area in order to complete his required hospital clinicals and field experience internships before sitting for the National Registry Paramedic exam.

Zack first arrived in Alaska in 2015 as a seasonal employee working at different restaurants in McCarthy.  Two summers in the McCarthy area quickly solidified his decision to move permanently to Alaska.

Zack began his involvement with EMS by taking a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course in 2016, thereafter obtaining his EMT certification, EMT-2, EMT-3, and soon to be a Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic. He has worked professionally for several Alaskan EMS agencies in a variety of settings including urban high-volume services and in remote low-volume locations.  Zack is also an Alaska Certified EMS Instructor.   When not at work, Zack enjoys kayaking among other outdoor activities.

Colin Ledsome:  Full-time 8/24 - 2/25, Part Time 2/25 - current

Picture
Colin was hired as CREMS' second Full-Time Advanced Life Support Lead Medic in August of 2024.  His calm demeanor and experience served him well during his tenure with CREMS.  Colin stepped back from full-time employment with CREMS in 2025 to spend more time with his family and adjust to their new home in Valdez, AK.  Colin continues to work for CREMS as a contract medic when needed which is a tremendous help to CREMS.
Colin has over 15 years of experience as a paramedic. He moved to Alaska in August 2024 from Colorado where he worked in a high mountain elevation (8k-13k) environment and was heavily involved in their back country rescue and SWAT teams.

Colin and his wife, along with their four dogs and snake enjoy anything outdoors and especially when it involves snow!  A big THANKS to Colin for his past and continued service to CREMS!
