Thanks to all of our AMAZING volunteer responders!

We can't say enough thanks to our amazing volunteers!  If you need any more proof of how great they are, here it is -- last year's data for CREMS volunteers, from 7/1/24-6/30/25:

CREMS’ volunteers donated over 1,200 hours of response time and signed up for more than 1,225 x 12-hour volunteer on-call shifts!  That’s nearly 15,000 hours of volunteer dedication in only one year.

Keep in mind that the average time from a 911 dispatch to the end of a call is 3 hours and 40 minutes. That is a lot of time to volunteer over and over and over again.

Here is a list of all the CREMS volunteers who responded to at least a few calls over the last year (note that most of our paid local staff also volunteer so we include them on this list too):  Savannah-Marie Gregory (Tazlina), Jolene Nashlund (Kenny Lake), Michaela Blair (Glennallen), Kristy Johns (Glennallen), Jason Severs (Gakona), Joe Morse (Kenny Lake), Elizabeth Vollema (Copper Center), Treann Ewan (Glennallen), George Gumfory (Glennallen), Sean Turner (Kenny Lake), Sarah Gallt (Kenny Lake), John Gregory (Tazlina), Carol Monk (Glennallen), Alysia Hancock (Copper Center), Jacob Maxwell (Kenny Lake), Marlena Maxwell (Kenny Lake), Jake Nagengast (Kenny Lake), Sam Zhang (Tazlina), Mica Hutchison (Kenny Lake), Mike Moody (Chitina), Danyle Boone (Chitina), Harry Scudder IV (Glennallen), Skyler Griffin (Copper Center), Matt Lorenz (Kenny Lake), Natalie George (Kenny Lake), Rene Pitka (Copper Center), Bryan Marquardt (Copper Center).

This does not include all of the volunteer firefighters that are not affiliated with CREMS but still show up to help on a wide variety of EMS dispatches. Plus, the countless hours of training, volunteered administrative time, board meetings, radio auction, and the many other ways community members give their time to support Copper River EMS.
